When I first saw Mr. Brent in CATS, I knew I had to meet him one way or another. I searched online for info on him and found out he tours with Access Broadway, so I called up the stairs to my mom, jokingly saying, "Hey, mom, can I go to Access Broadway to meet Jacob Brent?" She knew who Jacob Brent was cuz he was all I talked about for months. And amazingly, she said maybe! Well, after months and months of arguing, saving up, and doing well in school, they finally said yes! We made reservations to go to the Access Broadway in Meadowlands New Jersey. AB was being held in the Sheraton hotel and we got there at about 8:00 from the night before. That night I hardly slept at all. All I could think about was the possibility that I might actually meet Jacob Brent! The next morning we got on the elevator to go to the ballrooms where we would be dancing, and the elevator stopped on the floor below us. 2 guys walked in and then I thought I would die when Jacob Brent walked right on the elevator with us! I stared at him for what seemed like forever but finally managed to say "Can I have your autograph?" It's funny, I had planned out what to say to him for months but when it actually happened, my mind went totally blank. I almost forgot to tell him how great I thought he was in CATS! But, thank God I did remember and he was so sweet. I even got a hug when I gave him the "J" pillow I sewed for him (After spending all my money on tickets for AB I didn't have enought money to buy him anything.). He started to walk away but I asked him if he would take a picture with me and he said sure. I was shaking uncontrollably when he put his arm around me and my mom snapped 2 pics. I blew up one of the pics of him and framed it, along with the blow up picture that I got his autograph on. Recently, my grandma asked me what I wanted for my sweet 16 (I'll be turning 16 in October) and jokingly, I said, I want to see CATS in London! I live in NY so you can imagine my shock when my grandma told me she called the airlines and she was taking me to get a passport that weekend. A few days ago, I found out that JB was playing Misto in London and I couldn't believe it! I screamed and called my grandma right away and she said she'd try to get me to London before his contract is up in October. - Vicki
