I had the pleasure of seeing ms Buckley perform at the Donmar Warehouse Diva season on the August 26, 2000. Not only did she sing two songs from Sunset Boulevard, she also sang right at the end Memory. I also got her autograph, but there were so many others as well wanting autographs that I did not have time to ask her any questions. But I found out they were selling autographed posters a well. I would be willing to trade this for any program of cats from a production other than London, Paris, Hamburg, New York. - Steve --------------------------------------------------------------------- I have added 3 more autographs to my collection making 166 in total. One of them was a original London cast member, Anita Pashley. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I have finally got Gillian Lynne's autograph through the mail this the message she sent with it on 01/06/2001. For Steve, Hoping your theatre going days, especially to see Cats will continue for many years. all best wishes, Gillian Lynne. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I met John [Partridge] outside London's Dominion theatre to get his autograph. He was very nice and pleasant. He singed lots of autographs and let people take a photo with him. I also gave him a written request for info on what roles he played in Cats and the dates he played them. He opened the letter and read out my request and said do you want me to fill this out.All I could blurt out was a very loud yes please. He almost got past me because I thought he would be much bigger and taller than me.He is only a couple of inches bigger than me. If it wasn't for a lady nabbing him for his autograph first I would have missed him. I also said to him there are rumours that you are going to go back to Cats again. He said he IS and He starts rehearsing in about three weeks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I went to see the Witches Of East at the Prince Of Wales Theatre in London. And I bumped into some one.And I was I bit surprised to find out it was Sir Cameron Mackintosh. I rushed out to one of the fire exits and empted my bag on the floor to find a pen.I then rushed back in and got his autograph.I did nit have the time to ask him anything. But there he was dressed as one of the guys in a Red shirt and no tie signing programmes. He was autograph no 226. --------------------------------------------------------------------- The guy playing Greaseball the American Engine is Dustin Dubreuil. He trained Fullerton University Los Angeles, and he was in Cats in Hamburg as Tugger and Munkustrap. I got his autograph. No. 227. He said his favourite role was the Tugger. I got an e-mail from Bonnie, Original London Rumpleteaser. I asked her if she was coming to Cats 20th birthday. This is her reply: Hi Steve. I don't think i'll be at the Cats Party.I'm right in the middle of a very hectic tour of my own show, which i hope you'll come and see!!Also, it makes me feel very old to think that most of the current cast probably weren't even born when we started it!!! Best wishes, Bonnie. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh one more autograph Alexandra Worrall no 227 in the mail She played Demeter in London. In 1990 Jan to July. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I got one more autograph(231)Grania Renihan ex Hamburg Grizabella. She was very nice to talk to the best yet. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I waited outside the New London theatre on Thursday to get the autographs of the new cast members. Jacob brent walked right past me and did not even acknowledge my presence.Peter bishop, swing for Gus and Old Dut,said they are under a lot of pressure and are being worked hard.So I don't think he was in a good mood. So I will try again on Monday.I think I will get him. When I was waiting a new cast member came limping out of the theatre to a taxi.according to Mr Bishop it was Rumpleteaser, but could not remember her name. I did manage to get Christine Carthwright's autograph,no 232,though.She did the chorography on the video. Also I don't think John Partridge has a long contract for Cats,I will try to pluck up the courage to ask him! --------------------------------------------------------------------- I mailed my first request today to an over seas address for autographs from the Cats people in Fosse at the Broadhurst theatre in Broadway. There are 7 of them in it. also I met Jacob Brent yesterday to get his autograph he was very polite.I think he was in a better mood.He looked very good and has a tan.he was autograph no 233. I had my camera with me but I forgot to use it!So I took Kaye Brown's instead. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I finally saw Jo in Starlight Express on the 28th. And she was really very good. She has two songs to her self. And she sings them very well. I must admit she looks very good in her Pearl costume. Its mainly white in colour and it covers her from her feet to her neck. The only spoiler is all Pearls have to wear a blond wig. It dose not suit her at all.She is still a little shaky on her skates but they have all got a two week start on her. I met her out side, they were all signing programmes and having there photos taken. As it was the new programme on sale they all were looking at it because they have not seen it yet! She is very small and very very pleasant, has a slight Scottish accent. She signed all programmes and at the end let me have a photo taken with her. And she was the first one to put her arm round me.She also likes talking to the little kids. I am shore she is going to settle down and have some. --------------------------------------------------------------------- When I was outside the New London Theatre a while back I saw a lady limping out of the stage door into a taxi. One of the actors told me it was the one playing Rumpelteazer. I just got the new cast programme and there is a new performer in it called Lynsey Britton and she is playing Rumpleteazer! So,she must be the new one. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [This is also an exerpt from his show review which can be found at http://jellylorum.tripod.com/review-steve2.txt] I went to the stage door to get some autographs. To find the stage door just face the theatre..on the left is the Stella hotel then the theatre then the cinema.Turn left walk all the way round the building it a bit of a walk. You will see a long metal ramp witch leads to a glass/metal door.It has no smoking/cameras/mobile phones sign on it.It dose not say stage door. You will see a loading bay on the left and a underground car park. I met 17 of the cast there I just asked everyone who came out if they were in the show. The cast programme has 40 people in it.Here are some of the ones I got... 1Nicole Thomas,Victoria.Very good performance. 2.Woetzel Wiebke,Jellylorum.Very good. 3.Cara Hamilton. 4.Jacqueline Dunnley. 5.Christine Haaga,Cassandra, very very good.Just very smooth and aloof. 6.Phillipson Melanie,Bombalurina.Good. Now the biggest news of all,to me any way.I got my first Autograph in the mail from another country other than England. It was from Tia Marie Zorne who was in the Hamburg show. She is in Beauty And The Beast at the Lunt Fontanne theatre on Broadway. She played the role in 1989-1991 and for three months in 1998. She was in it when it broke the record for the longest running musical in the West End,beating Jesus Christ Superstar. "one of my proudest moments was when Princess Diana brought the two Princes to see the show and they came to see me afterwards and they had to use my toilet" "also a few times the tyre effect would not work and I would have to walk off the stage past the stalls and back behind the scenery. Not nearly as effective as you can imagine!!!"
