victoria is in many ways a typical cat. She is not obviously vocal, 
but expresses herself through movement. She is very mysterious, very 
beautiful, and fairly indefinable. The most noticeable thing about 
her physically is her looks. She is pure or almost pure white. She 
doesn’t really resemble any females in the group, apart from 
Grizabella perhaps, which suggests her mother is dead. In my stories, 
her mother was a beautiful show cat, who died trying to rejoin the 
tribe. This mother was Deuteronomy’s last wife, or possibly his 
rebellious eldest daughter, someone he loved most. Deuteronomy sent 
Munkustrap, his eldest son to rescue her. He found her running away 
from a cat show, and brought her back to the tribe just before the 
last jellicle ball. She is the same age as Jemima and possibly a 
little older than Etcetera and Electra. These four are lumped 
together as "The Kittens" and Victoria is sometimes happy to act like 
a kitten. She likes the Tugger, but is realistic in the sense that 
she knows he is not for her. Munkustrap looks out for her; she has 
been brought up like his little sister. 

She changes a lot during the Jellicle Ball. I think she and 
Quaxo/Mistoffoles hadn’t actually met before then, as he stayed and 
watched her, like he wanted to get to know her properly. He’s 
normally quite lively, but he was really still, and didn’t let on he 
was there. If they were old friends, he’d just have bounded up and 
said hello. They are together a lot, like childhood sweethearts, and 
he seems to love having her around. She loves being with him, he’s 
very sweet, but then there’s the whole question of plato. For my 
part, I think she was attracted to him because she didn’t know him. 
Victoria is actually younger than quaxo but felt like she was a lot 
older than him. Maybe she thought he was too immature for her at that 
point. 

She and Mistoffoles are both very close to Skimbleshanks, he might 
have looked after her while she was running away. You could tell he 
didn’t approve about Plato, he had this really stern look on his face 
when they danced, and when they went to sleep, she slept closer to 
him. I think he was probably finding it hard to come to terms with 
the fact that his little kitten was growing up. He likes Mistoffoles, 
and probably thought, "hold on, you two are meant for each other, 
plato’s not good enough for you." He didn’t want anything to come 
between them. 

In his song, he escorts her like a lady, though, and you can imagine 
him treating her like an adult.

In the video, Alonzo obviously adores Victoria, and she is attracted 
to him, as he probably seems very impressive; big, strong, mad about 
her. Also, Mistoffoles fancies Cassandra a little bit, which 
Skimbleshanks probably also isn’t too keen on. It seems like she’s 
refused him before Mistoffoles’ song, but you can imagine 
Skimbleshanks, Munkustrap and Tugger telling Misto, "now look, you 
can get her back, impress her with the magic and she’s yours. You’re 
worthy of her, and the others aren’t." 

He does impress her, and she sees him differently, still as loveable 
and sweet, but also strong and talented. However, Plato would 
probably still want her, and so would Alonzo. 

She’s also very compassionate and open-minded; she wants to let 
Grizabella back into the tribe; it’s the other cats who stop her. At 
the end, though, Deuteronomy lets her touch her; this bears out my 
theory about him parting from Victoria’s mother for the first time; 
he’s saying "Forgive her. This is what I never had the chance to do 
to your mother." she’s incredibly important in front of all the other 
cats. And then, after showing how loving she is, at that important 
moment what does she do? She leads her straight to Mistoffoles. He 
looks stunned, then proud. It’s like she’s silently showing him he’s 
the most important one to her, the one she thinks of first. They are 
together as Grizabella leaves, two cats who’ve just matured together. 
It looks like the childhood sweethearts will be together forever.
