My views on Jemima (and all the other Jellicals) are somewhat complex. Please here me out before you throw stuff at me *ducks as a rubber band flys by* Jemima is the sweetest most caring cat in the tribe. She fully understands the meanings of happiness and life. She knows both the light and dark side of things. This ties her to the sun and the moon. She, I believe, is almost a port-hole from day to night and night to day for the other Jellicals. This is why she understands Grizabella so well. I think that if she hadn't been stopped or on that pile of cars she would have touched Griz first. She is the second-oldest, female kitten. Victoria is the only kitten older than her and during the Jellical Ball becomes an adult and "marries" Plato. Jemima is then the oldest and trys to live up to the expectations of the tribe. I fully believe that she is Demeter and Bombarlurina's sister. Her markings are almost an exact cross between them, taking Demi's black and Bomba's reddish and white highlights. She will later become Mistoffelees' mate (if it weren't for the mating dance and other reasons I would say Victoria was his mate) but for now is checking out the other young toms. (Munku is so protective of her because he is Demi's mate and Tugger flirts with her to tease Bomba) Jemima hangs out with two different groups of cats, both a world apart from the other. (the sun/moon devide again) Her first "sun" group is the kittens, Victoria, Etcetera, Electra and Pouncival. When she is with them she seems very cheerful and out-going sometimes a little silly. Her second "moon" group is the outcasts, Tantomile, Coricopat, Mistoffelees and Exotica. When she is with them she is just as cheery but more stern and conserved. Here, she almost had a haunting air around her. In the end her two parts will balance off. To understand me better you might want to check out some of my views on other cats. Ariel Artemus
