Mr. M to me seems like a very intelligent and sly cat who has perhaps
taken a few lessons from his friend Rum Tum Tugger on how to have the
spotlight, however Misto does it with much more grace and decorum. When
he stands up because he thinks Munkustrap is talking about him instead of
Jennyanydots he looks very embarrassed and sheepish which shows that he
is a naive cat though kitten or teenager I'm not quite sure. I think his
crack in Tugger's song just shows that he is joking around because he
says it almost sarcastically and then continues to join in the dancing
and praise. When Bustpoher Jones is talking he tries to fit in with the
other adult male cats by listening in and pretending to know what they
are talking about. He is very respectful of Old Deuteronomy and treats
him like one would a grandfather or other figurehead. He is an extremely
graceful cat, which we see in the Jellicle ball and takes the spotlight
without shoving everyone else away. When the time comes for Tugger to
sing about him, he looks stunned that his older, wiser friend would sing
his praise and go on about him like that and when he brings Deuteronomy
back he shows off his kitten side again by leaping into his arms and
licking his face. All in all I would say that Mr. Mistoffolees is my
favorite cat, but only when played by Jacob Brent because he makes him
look so cute!
