Demeter is one of the younger but wiser queens. She has had plenty of 
experience with cats in general, and she knows more about their minds 
than almost anyone. She's the only queen who seems to feel sorry for 
Grizabella, unlike Bombalurina, who shuns her at the beginning. 
Demeter also seems to have an almost supernatural sixth-sense about 
Macavity, because she always senses when he's nearby and causing 
trouble.

Munkustrap and Demeter are quite cute together (awwwww the nuzzle 
just before Mr. Mistoffelees is so adorable!), and I think they would 
make a great couple, except that Munku might not approve of Bomby's 
antics, which she might draw Demi into sometimes.

Demeter's life has been pretty good on the most part, I think, except 
for whatever scrapes she's had with Macavity. While those might have 
unhinged and unnerved her a little, she's still fairly mild most of 
the time. She has a mysterious edge to her, perhaps because she's 
sort of shy and likes to keep things hidden.

I think Demeter is most probably one of Old Deuteronomy's children, 
because she is around him a lot, and she gets really upset when 
Macavity kidnaps him, and then later disguises himself at him. She 
could also be the mother of Jemima, but she seems a bit young to be a 
mother. I suppose Munkustrap, Demeter and Jemima would make a tidy 
family, but something doesn't quite match up for me.

Overall, Demi's a nice kitty, with issues, but she can get over them 
and she still knows how to live life to the fullest. Having a great 
and protective friend like Bombalurina probably helps her a lot.
