Bombalurina is a cat who loves attention. When everyone else is doing the norm, you can always see Bomby off in a corner doing her own thing. One example is that dance she does during Jellicle ball. She starts out alone, but then the other cats join her. Bombalurina has a different style than Demeter, who I think is her best friend and confidante. You always see the two together, but Bombalurina is more outgoing and flirtatious. Demi prefers the company of friends over the company of men, whereas Bomby couldn't survive without either. She is a wee bit standoffish at the first when Grizabella comes around the first time, but she has a good heart, because in the end she accepts her. Romance-wise, I think Bombalurina's best matches are the Rum Tum Tugger (obviously...have you SEEN the way they behave around each other??) or Alonzo, because that boy can shake his hips just as well as Tugger, if not better, and besides that, he seems flirty enough to counter Bomby's flirty-ness. Yeah. Well, it's just a theory. In the past, she probably was in a couple of bad relationships and a couple of good ones, and that sort of shaped who she is now. She knows how to take the bad with the good, and to overcome it. Parentage would be hard to place, since there's no one who really looks like her. Possible she was just a stray who wandered 'round the junkyard and was accepted among the Jellicles. Bombalurina is one of my favorite cats, because she likes her guys, and she knows what she wants, and how to get it. Also she dances pretty darn well. She's daring enough to take chances with the notorious Macavity, and with the possibly more notorious Tugger, with his reputation for being a player. Bombalurina's my dream role in cats, because I think the character is a lot like me. That's one of the things Andrew Lloyd Webber is really good at--making the characters come to life. --Rachelkat
